NOTE: This is our old list from the 2020 elections; we will be updating it in advance of the 2022 races. To stay informed, please sign up for email updates on our website.
Coronavirus has upended many high school and college students’ internship plans — including those who wanted to door-knock for Democratic candidates in key races.
But thankfully, some campaigns are adapting quickly, and offering students interested in politics the chance to help them remotely via virtual internships and volunteer positions.
We’ve compiled a list of Democratic campaigns at all levels — local, state, US House, and US Senate — that are open to having virtual / remote student interns and volunteers help them win elections in November while still maintaining “social distancing.” We’ll keep updating the list over the next few weeks — this version is accurate as of July 9.
A few notes:
If you’d rather download the entire spreadsheet directly for easier sorting, etc., you can get it here.
If you find errors on this spreadsheet, please email and let us know.
If you are a Dem candidate open to having remote summer students as interns or volunteers, please fill out our quick survey to provide key info, and we’ll add you to the list! And also, please read our guide to creating a great campaign internship experience.
And finally — if you’re interested in helping a campaign, but find this list totally overwhelming, have no fear! Check out our post on tips for applying to campaign internships, and if you’re still stuck. feel free to just drop us an email.
